Post flop Questions

Not sure if I made the right move betting the flop, checking behind on the turn and just calling the river.

You don't raise this river?

Hand looks good to me until the river. Did you really fear just 1 card?

Re: Post flop Questions

You played the hand fine. You can consider raising the river but calling isn't all bad. What I thought of BB's overall game would lead me to call or raise.

Re: Post flop Questions

Let's assume BB has the standard 3-bet range here for a conservative estimate:

AA - 3
KK - 6 (3 containing K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img])
QQ - 1
JJ - 6
AK - 12 (3 containg K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img])

We can eliminate some of these hands if we know how he plays (eg, some players would raise the flop/bet the turn w/ AA). But using the above as a baseline there you are a 22:6, or almost 4:1 favorite to be ahead, meaning you have good odds on your raise, which is a 2:1 proposition assuming he calls.

However, if you think he must have a heart to bet here:

AA - 0
KK - 3
QQ - 0
JJ - 3
AK - 3

you are a big dog, and the call is clearly correct. So if this guy is a smart, Clarkmeister theorem kind of guy, I like a raise. Otherwise the call is good.
