TT hand-how\'s my line?

First hand I've posted here. I'll post my thoughts later, but first, I'd like to here what I did right or wrong here. This was in my first session on Party 0.50/1.00. This was after roughly 50 hands with UTG. UTG's PT stats show that VP$IP=65.63%. Also, UTG had not shown much agression. No reads on CO.

Let me know how I played this and what, if anything, I should do differently next time.

Party Poker 0.5/1 Hold'em (6 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is BB with T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. CO posts a blind of $0.5.
UTG calls, 1 fold, CO (poster) checks, 1 fold, SB completes, Hero raises, UTG calls, CO calls, SB folds.

Flop: (7 SB) 4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 4[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (3 players)
Hero bets, UTG calls, CO calls.

Turn: (5 BB) 6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (3 players)
Hero bets, UTG calls, CO folds.

River: (7 BB) T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero bets, UTG raises, Hero 3-bets, UTG caps, Hero calls.

Final Pot: 15 BB

Results in white below:
Hero has Ts Td (full house, tens full of fours).
UTG has 2d 2h (full house, twos full of fours).
Outcome: Hero wins 15 BB.

Good hand. Don't include the results next time.

Where are all you new players coming from?

Looks good. I have PF troubles with TT, with more players I'd just check, I wonder if that's wrong?

I'll keep that in mind.

I got WLLH and TOP for Christmas. Asked for them after reading reviews on Amazon. After reading about this website, I figured I'd check it out. Lurked for a while here and at BW. Started with casinos two and a half weeks ago and Intertops about a week after that.

About the hand:

I've been limping more with TT unless it seems like a tight table where it looks like I might get some people to fold high cards. Doing this hand again, I would probably check preflop since they are not going to fold after putting in one bet. It is probably a profitable raise, but I still get uncomfortable postflop when there are overcards on the board. I bet this flop figuring that if anyone had a 4 they'd probably let me know it. I thought I probably had the best hand. Same on the turn. River play is obvious.

Disregarding the river, was I too aggressive on this hand?

God no. No one told you they had TT beat until the river when, unfortunately for him, his slowplay totally screwed him. If you had gotten raised and 3-bet the turn....maybe.

I would say, yes, it's wrong. TT is a good hand. It's not just good, it's great. It can be played for it's intrinsic value (ie, it does not always need improvement to win) and for set value. The more limpers there are in the hand, the more it is played for set value (or the less likely it will hold up unimproved), but it should still be raised.

Related example - you are in the BB with a pocket pair, the whole table limps (or, say 6 people limp). Wouldn't you raise any pair?

What would your river play been had the river been a less friendly card like a [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] or an overcard to your tens?

No.

The reason I check is that, with many limpers, you're playing TT for set value. Postflop, you have terrible position. Unimproved, even with an overpair, your hand is vulnerable on most boards, and there will likely be a few players seeing the turn.

You'd be surprised how often TT can hold up unimproved.
