Stop doing whatever they are asking you to stop doing maybe?

Other than the answer you've already gotten, what could you seriously expect us to tell you? It's okay to continue, they will close your account - as it's stated in the mail.

without saying what what u r doing or what the loophole is, we can't really comment on how serious party will take it.

I'll probably post it in a week or two, since I stopped for now.I have some time invested in party at the moment. It has nothing to do with other players, but 1 is affected to his advantage also. It's a problem with their software and I profit from it.I just can't win against the casino. They set the rules and what they don't like, they change the rules.I've already been arrested for playing Blackjack on an indian reservation this year,so my casino fighting days are over for now.I'll just have to take it in the A$$ like a card player.Tzak

wtf are you babbling about?

what is the loophole? a blind posting bug?

This guy is clearly a Party blackjack degenerate who has tilted off tons of money there. He's probably doing the blind posting trick to get the button frequently in short-handed games.

What's the blind posting thing? I remember Party USED to have a bug where u could sit out the SB, and wouldn't have to pay it or post to come back in, but i thought they fixed that.

(and this guy's clearly talking about BJ and not poker)

Well, as that thread points out, it's not even +EV.

Re: Un fair advantage alert from party pokaer

well, at the risk of being hated-on, i actually side with you. You're really just taking advantage of a bug in their software. If you ask me, it's still a bitch move, just like when I play short-stack in the $2,000NL, double up, and then sit back down with 500. Doesn't mean you (or I) are a good person.

REgardless, i doubt it's a ban-able offense. Just stop doing it.

Re: Un fair advantage alert from party pokaer

I think it is plus ev for bad players. It gives them less chance to give away their money to good players. Not a big deal. One of the better posters pointed out this play would lose money in the long run due to the profits made in the button and the SB. The only way I see this as being profitable is if you are colluding with the person on your immediate left, so that every orbit He misses the big blind.

Since we all now know who you are and what you are doing... it would be interesting to see what Party actually said to you... can you post their email?

Re: Un fair advantage alert from party pokaer

I think where I come from on this is that if I was feeling this sheepish, and I'd been banned (obviously for some good reason), I certainly wouldn't consider coming around and asking for a rationalization. Rationalization is like sex..It feels good. After all, when was the last time you went a week without a rationalization?

Re: Un fair advantage alert from party pokaer

I consider this type of play as part of internet poker. There are many other similar moves on other sites. It's part of the game online. What about the players following me around,so they can skip the big? It's funny how most of the complaints came from losers{according to my poker tracker records] who happened also to be on my left.Total morons, compared to the guys who kept their mouth shut and profited from the situation..Hey,I've got and idea-FIX THEIR SOFTWARE.Tzak.

So you're basically saying it's their own fault because they let the door open? So if you accidentally forget to lock your car, it's ok for me to steal it, after all, you could've just locked the car.

Re: Un fair advantage alert from party pokaer

i hate to say this, because it would really piss me off if you did it in my game, but ask them what rule you are breaking

you don't have to play any hand, and it's their fault their software isn't making you pay a dead small blind

You would not follow some around. Some have their names blocked from search. FWIW, I used to have mine blocked but unblocked it for a friend. I noticed a 56/14 was following me around. I lost some big hands to him the first time we played. Now he must think he's "due" because I have been taking money from him for a month and he keeps coming back...

Re: Un fair advantage alert from party pokaer

Thats funny. Personally I don't mind leaving myself available for search because the players I would prefer not to play against wouldn't be trying to follow me, anyway

exactly, the people who regularly call me out or follow me around are donks who think i'm a donk because they saw me make one loose play 1000 hands ago

What if it's 15/30 and the SB is 2/3 of a bet, it's a 10-player table and you get to play eight hands for 60% of the cost of ten hands, and the only good player at the table is the very aggressive BB and you don't want any more blind wars HU OOP with him?

The answer as usual is "it depends". There are absolutely situations where skipping the SB would be major +EV.

Party needs to stop this. I commend them for their innovation in using threatening letters to do so. Every other site I've played at uses the ineffective and old-fashioned "software method" of enforcing the rules.

Re: Un fair advantage alert from party pokaer

Actually the type of players following me around were really, tight players who aren't very creative making a couple buks a day playing simple poker. They wouldn't put much pressure on me,so they were perfect for my left anyway.I often left when the good players were skipping.I had a casino point of view, let the bad player skip,so he could put that savings back on the table. The funny thing was the guy who caused maybe the final straw is a two plus twoer who was on my left. Now that's bad poker.I made the mistake by staying while they bitched. Before I left right away. It's always a tought decision wether to milk the most now or try to not burn it out.Anyway,I replied to Party tellin them I would stop and they sent me this............Thank you for contacting us.

We appreciate very much the decision taken by you and request you to kindly practice the general
poker etiquette as incidents of these kind might spoil your repute as a professional poker player.
