KK with a very very coordinated board

PokerStars 2/4 Hold'em (6 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is BB with K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img].
UTG calls, MP raises, 3 folds, Hero 3-bets, UTG calls, MP calls.

Flop: (9.50 SB) 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (3 players)
Hero bets, UTG calls, MP raises, Hero calls, UTG calls.

Turn: (7.75 BB) 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (3 players)
Hero checks, UTG checks, MP checks.

River: (7.75 BB) 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (3 players)
Hero checks, UTG bets, MP raises, Hero folds, UTG 3-bets, MP calls.

Final Pot: 13.75 BB

UTG is the epitome of awful. He would call down with perhaps every spades, though he probably has a big one or a 9s since he's river capping. MP is a decent aggressive player who could be raising an ace of spades for a free card.

Did I play this well or was I too scared on the flop and turn?

I 3-bet the flop because MP will raise with a ton in this spot.

Can't be good. This flop is horrible. You have an equity deficit nearly everytime.

But you gotta bet the turn or else you get owned by the bare A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img].

MP is raising with worse hands more often then not, and I don't like UTG seeing the turn cheaply.

Obviously he has a worse hand most of the time. This doesn't really matter though as he's likely to have 12ish outs even when we're currently ahead. Putting tons of bets in on this flop when we have to check/fold so much of the deck on the turn seems like a bad plan. And UTG is never folding anything we want him to here.

True. Wait for the turn then?

Sounds like a good plan.

I'm not seeing why hero would have less than 33% equity on the flop.

Somebody with the A spades (9 flush + 2 A = 11 outs) has 1 - (36/47)(36/46) = 40% equity
OESD has 6 outs due to the spades for 1 - (41/47)(41/46) = 22% equity

Hero has around 38% equity in this case. Is this not a big enough to push so we wait for the turn?

I think this would be the worse case scenario since somebody holding another spade hurts the equity of the person hold the A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] and has hardly equity themselves.
