Has anyone been to the Phillipines?
 

I am considering a vacation there, would like to hear personal experiences, especially regarding good cities to stay, cleanliness, attitude toward americans, ease of communication, etc. Seems very beautiful in pictures... let's hear it

My roommate and a couple friends are going there in a couple weeks, I can give you more info in a month. I hear it's really nice, though.

All I know is that my friend went to the Phillipines and got a full-body massage for $1. He went ahead and tipped the masseuse another dollar since it was so damn cheap, and everyone went crazy, because that is a shitton of money to them.

dont go to manila. davao is nice. theres beach/snorkeling stuff nearby. my name is joe so having the locals yelling "hey joe!" at me in the marketplace was a little amusing. i got food poisoning but i think that was a coincidence.
