Sports betting is painful (HOU/STL)

Trying to whore a bonus and am going to end up losing money.

The Texans up 10 with less than a minute left plus 4 points for the spread and they lose.

Also got nailed with the Redskins. The NFL is RIGGED

Holy crap.

This week has been brutal so far. I blew both of my teases within seconds of each other (SF/Ten u49 and StL/Hou u53). Ugh.

I'm glad someone else posted it so I could bitch about it also, lost both games with you.

Yeah, those were both brutal. I mean, in a sense you got it right, because a game that goes to overtime ends regulation with a score margin of 0. But sadly, the casino disagrees.

I was going to start a thread entitled "Houston Texans are dead to me" but I see you already started one.

Houston and Washington fiascos cost me 16 units. That was gross.

If you had taken 4 with the Pack you could have had the bad-beat hat trick.

Houston I only had in teasers so I avoided that but Washington was a tough one. On the flip side I got a gift with the Eagles when Green Bay fumbled the kickoff after Philly went up by 2 with 4 minutes to play.

Home team dogs 0-6 this week.

Re: Sports betting is painful (HOU/STL)

Does anyone out there know the chances of:

1. TWO overtime games being decided by a touchdown AND

2. Both winners being favored by a number that would make this fact meaningful.

*

I had no play on Houston; I had Wash. +4.

If Dom Capers isn't fired tonight, I don't think I can bet the Texans any more this year. They have absolutely creamed me.

I could quote in agreement nearly every post in this thread, but I'm going to pick this one. [censored] Dom Capers. [censored] the Texans.

What an awful day.

I don't mean to rub salt in the wound, but what was the appeal to taking the texans today? I understand the washington play and had the moneyline, but the texans???

Home dogs are nearly automatic for me. The extra .5 really made me like it. I also had a little on the moneyline since Bulger was out and I could get it at +155 when it was +150/+145 at my other books.

Geez, if you can't hold a 21 pt lead at home against a 7th round pick from Harvord and one of the worst road teams in the league, you should be contracted from the league. Houston had actually been pretty good to me before this one.

What were the odds of the Texans not covering with 40 seconds left in that game? They could have at least lost on a FG in OT. This reminds me of a poker hand when I got it all in with AJ vs AA on a AKJ board. I hit running jacks to bust the guy. Now I know how he felt.

I live in Houston. It is a city that breaks your heart!

Astros got swept.
AFC championship game- Oilers and Bills
1983 NCAA Basketball- UH vs NC State
Houston Rockets up 2-0 vs Dallas in the playoffs lose the next two at home

The list goes on and on...thats why I dont bet on Houston teams

Rigggged. This was my favorite play of the week and I was enjoying bragging about it to everyone within distance when it was 24-0. I think the conversation in the owner's box must have went something like : "Boy it would be nice if we had that Reggie Bush on our team... make it happen".

It's a fun and convenient theory and all except Carr threw an interception on the StL 10 or so in the 3rd qtr in which the Rams linebacker made an incredible play to make the pick.

16 units means 16-unit swing, meaning I'd have won 8 units if the games played out like they should have; instead I lost 8.
Luckily for me, going into Sunday I was up 17 units (due in large part to my Falcons props )

I was so tempted to do a longshot Tradesports bet on the Rams at halftime but those bets are usually -EV. The one time there was some value, I didn't jump.
