States where cardrooms are legal
 
I'm Canadian (where cardrooms are not legal unless they're in a casino)...

was just wondering what states have LEGAL cardrooms.

I would be cautious with this list. As has been discussed to death, cardrooms are not legal in New York. It may be that the list includes places that have legal casinos (which NY does).

Yes, thats what they are reffering too, there are several Indian Casinos (Turning Stone for example) in New York with Card Rooms.

i should have been more specific. I was talking standalone card rooms, not affiliated with a casino (like Niagara)

I suggest Washington just north of Portland. Doubt if the city of Vancouver allows it or there would already be one. The closest Oregon casino is about 65 miles away (Spirit Mountain). It is a well-run non-smoking room with 17 tables. In LaCenter, Washington (about 17 miles north of the Oregon/Washington border) are two casinos with very smoky poorly-run rooms. Cardrooms are legal in Washington but only Indian casinos are legal in Oregon.
