Conditional & Unconditional trading

Could someone please tell me what this means exactly, beccause I read an article about the partygaming ipo, and it said that conditional trading will take place this monday and then unconditional will take place on thursdsay? Thanks in advance |
Re: Conditional & Unconditional trading
Wild guess on my part.
There is a "when issued period". Trades during the WI period are conditional because, if for some unknown/unexpected reason, the deal doesn't settle (i.e. the company doesn't get the money from the stock sale) - all trades are cancelled and the IPO is unwound. Again, wild guess... |
