I think Fischman is a fine player who will do very well over the years. Yes, he is a gambler, but a very good one.

They always neglect to call him a pro, though. I was wondering if he still works a normal job day to day.

No, he's just a poker player.

Pro. Strictly tournaments and primarily online. He was featured in Cardplayer last month (the month before?) Apparently his sister handles his finances and he pays himself and hourly wage for his playing time - versus burning through his winnings.

He plays dozens and dozens of hours a week and apparently has no other job (other than his Cardplayer column). Therefore, he most certainly is a pro.

And strikes me as a very smart one too.

Nah, he's not a pro...

He doesnt have any other form of income (except for his poker related ventures), plays hours upon hours of poker every week, travels the world playing the biggest tournaments, and most likely filed his taxes as a "professional gambler".

Sure...lets have a debate about this.
