Horseshoe Tunica\'s New Poker Room

The room will open first thing Friday morning. Today they finished the marble tops on the rail, mosaic tile around the pit stand, wallpaper, and accent lighting. Just a couple more touch ups and carpet before the tables and T.V's go in Thursday afternoon. It's going to be about a month after we open until the computerized system will be up and running. (Something about a software update from the manufacturer) If any of you get the chance come see us this weekend. I expect it to be packed.

I can't wait to check it out. Unfortunately I don't know if I'll be able to since I'm leaving the area in about a month, but I'm going to try.

Will you still be able to hear the awful cover bands in the bar or is it closed off? I kind of enjoyed that- it added to the atmosphere.

The new room is in the back of the casino as far away from the band as you can get. Thank God. The snack bar moved along with us and is already open. The menu is on plazma tv. The food is the same as the old snack bar with a couple added items to the menu. There will also be a full service bar on the other side of the poker room, without a stage. The main reason for moving the poker room was to get away from the bands. They were just too loud. It's also nice to have 3 of the four food outlets in the same area. (Buffet, Nawlins, and the Snack Bar) The Steak House is being completely re-built and should open up in a couple weeks. It will still be just outside the main table games area.

Going to be in Tunica Saturday. What is the weekend tournament schedule at the HS now?

Is it an enclosed room or open? Just wondering how well the smoke will stay out. I hope there is at least good ventilation.

Sounds great overall.

Are they Hiring dealers for the new room? I deal up at Ameristar casino St. Charles in Missouri, and have been thinking about trying to deal in Tunica for quite some time. We pool tips up here, and me going out to vegas and dealing the World Series every year makes me want to keep my own, and I love the Horseshoe Tunica.
Thanks in advance!
