Party 600 w/ AA Turn play
 

Villian is semi loose but not total donk, so far im probably viewed as aggressive. Villian is capable of calling my opening with a big pp. After the flop i think hes on a pocket pair (44 is a possibilty) A hand with a 2 is unlikely unless its A2s (But i do have the Ah). Mainly want to focus on turn play and was the C/R the best move?

Hero lead 1/2pot to represent weak overpair trying to find out where it stands. This never gets old and usually works. Sometimes you will even see bluff allin here.

He could have 44, but also any pp from 55-KK with KK QQ not as likely. Well in the hand I wasn't how much he was willing to commit with a hand like 55-99. Betting &gt; than checkraising?

All you can do here is go with your gut feeling on the hand. Most of the time you will probably have the better hand, and he won't have 44, but you have to make this decision right there and then, and if you can make that correct lay down you are on your way to greatness, however, you fold and are wrong you look like an idiot. I would find it extremely hard to get away from this especially b/c of the turn. Tough hand is all I can say.

I'm not folding, but I'm looking for the way to get the most value from his range of hands. If he somehow had a 2 or 44 i'm going to lose a lot of chips. I agree the checkraise is scary, but if i bet a bet like 200 more what will he do with a hand like 66 or 77?

Anyways I checked, Villian bet 125, and i bumped to 300 straight, villian folds. In retrospect the raise was very scary and only hands that are monsters can call, ie KK QQ 44 X2. But then i was thinking about how the board looked so much like a miss for a pfr with something like AK or etc. So if he was just testing me with 2 high cards, i made the most i could since hes not putting in a penny more if i bet the turn. If i were to play this hand again, I would C/C the turn and lead on the river, depending on what card it was.
