Party & Empire Have Won

Its been a great run, but I will never do another 15x bonus at Party or Empire. Its is just a waste of time, as 15x means that you are playing over about 1800 hands and therefore are earning about 5.5 cents a hand. At that rate, Even FullTilt is better. And UB blows them away as you have the ability to earn as much as 15 cents a hand for a fully raked hand when starting a table.
PokerRoom too kicks their asses as PokerRoom is usually only 7x

Back in the day the Bonnii were 5x, then 7x, then even the 10x were still cool, but 15x is a joke. Basically it is only worth it if you play there anyway (and dont withdraw as that'll negate your bonus). So basically this is their way of giving money to their loyal losing players.

That being said, perhaps Party hasnt won at all...... as these bonuses wont bring players to their site anymore.
Oh well, guess its time to go short party stock

PokerRoom may appear to be only 7x, but these are Player Points and not raked hands. In order for a hand to qualify for 0.5 player points the rake must be >50c and for a whole player point the rake must be >$1.

In reality at the PL$25 tables that I play, I am accumulating Player Points at the rate of only about 1 per 5 hands raked.

I still much prefer the action at PokerRoom to Party.

Sure, a casual player will never tell the difference between clearing the bonus in 10 days, or ending up 500 hands short, because he doesn't play that many hands, will he?

What is the best raked hands per hour, shorthanded NL @ like 50 or so? That's still 30 hours of poker for a single-tabler, which is a lot of hours for the casual player. Heck, I go 10 days without working 30 hours sometimes, and I do this 'for a living'. Fish definately pay attention to how many hands they need to play to clear a bonus.

bingo. Some of us play thousands of raked hands whether there is a bonus at stake or not. So the bonus, is just that, a BONUS. At the end of the required raked hands there is just more money in my account than there would have been. I don't play differently or lower stakes just because there is a pending bonus in my account.

Do people think playing winning poker is about finding the best site to clear a bonus??? I would play party poker if they never offered another bonus.

15x is still well worth doing for me, but I'm done with Empire due to the stupid "you can't play the bonus if you've withdrawn in the last 15 days" rule." It isn't worth the effort, I'm off to Absolute.
