How much do you need for a little 3/6 B&M play?

I've read WLLH and have been beating Party .5/1. I don't have a proper bankroll for 3/6 but I would like to take a little field trip. Just have a night out for fun and keep it seperate from my online play. What's a realistic amount to go into a normal loose 3/6 riverboat game (Trump IN) and at least be able to play the night if the cards arent hot?

two racks should be enough

If you lose more than 3 racks, then it's probably not your night.

I wouldn't waste my time going all the way to a casino, without at least $200 for a $3/$6 game.

Normally you buy in for 25x the big bet and if you are card dead and play tight, that should last 4-5 hours. At 3-6 seems most people buy in for a rack of white ($100) so I usually do the same but have more money in my pocket.

If you are a LAG, one rack probably won't last very long unless you are running good.

I go along w/ the people who say to bring enough for 2 racks. At Trump that will be $200 of very dirty chips.

Keep in mind that Trump plays a full kill at 3/6. That may affect things a bit.

Buy in for $150 and have another $100 in reserve.

I would bring $300, although $200 should be enough most of the time. Many people buy in for $100, but then again, many people are stone suckers. If the game has a full kill as someone mentioned, I'd bump it to $400, but again, $200-300 should be enough. If it is a full kill, you're going to be playing a lot bigger than you're used to, which may make you uncomfortable.

25 x The big blind is the generally accepted buy-in rule around here. So $150 (rack and 1/2) is ideal. Since most of your opponents will buy in for only 1 rack, you might consider doing the same to avoid suspission, with $50 on the side once you go below $75 in chips.

IOf however the game is a full kill game, bump up your buyin by at least another 1/2. Also keep an extra $100 or so around in the event you suck-out early. But then again if you suck out that quickly, perhaps you should call it a day.
