did I donk this?

Reads: Villian is very aggro.

I don't actually mind the call on the flop so much, but you're seriously gotta push the turn, it's significantly less than a pot size raise. Why let the draw hit so he can possibly get away?

Re: slowplay 200NL

let me be very clear. this was NOT a situation to slowplay.
You can ONLY slowplay when the next street might bring your opponent a card that will leave him with the second best hand.

For example, let's say you have Ks, Kh and the flop comes Kd, 3s, 8c. This MIGHT be a good time to slow play. It is very unlikely that the turn will bring a card that will put you behind.

In your case, however, there are a number of cards that can come on the turn and destroy your hand (a pairing of the board, or a diamond).

You HAVE to reraise this flop. I'd made it $75-$100 to go. (Hopefully he calls/pushes with an overpair).

If you slowplay this hand, you run a serious risk. Instead of winning a moderately sized pot, you can lose a huge one. RAISE RAISE RAISE.

Wrong.

You can also slowplay when your opponent is likely to be drawing very slim, but will keep betting anyway.

I see 2 cards that would make me a lose a huge pot on the river.

yup, you nailed it. Thats what I figured. Just double checking.

I have a new rule I am going to do. When I flop the best hand I will ALWAYS either valuebet/raise (85%) or Checkraise turn (15%).

Rules with this word in them usually suck.

Re: slowplay 200NL

the reason not to slowplay this hand isn't because he's scared to lose the pot...it's because like half the deck will kill his action on the turn.

OK, unless I feel villian is on a 100% bluff and will try to steal river I will ALWAYS do that. Maybe I need to think more, but I can't think fo any situations that this isin't a good idea.
