Contest poll: Did this 405 pound man run the 100m dash under 22 sec.?

A local sports radio station had a contest. One of the interns at the radio station is a 405 pound man.

They are hooking the intern up with some nice suits and a diet/exercise plan at a local health club, but in return he agreed to be a prt of a radio contest today.

Basically, the running bet was this: In international news, there was a 95-year old Japanese man who ran the 100m dash in 22 seconds, a record for a man his age. Could this 405-pound individual run the 100m dash under 22 seconds?

The run took place below the station's headquarters on the sidewalk outside the local train/tram station (MARTA).

So, did he beat the time, or no?

Well, is he a fit fat man or just a fat fat man (complete blob)? I highly doubt that the latter could even finish a 100m dash.

He is 24, just out of college, was 250 in high school, he has let himself go at McDonald's.

When a picture is uploaded on the site, I will post his picture.

I doubt it. I remember back in highschool ~300 pound football player was barely able to run the 40 meter dash in 12 seconds. Add 100 pounds and 60 meters and 22 seconds seems like an impossibility.

I think he can do it. 100M is short enough its all anarobic, and since hes young, I think he can get it done. (assuming he doesnt fall, heh)

Case,

12 seconds?? 40 meters?? Are you sure you have that right?? I think I could bear crawl and clock a 40 time better than 12 seconds.

I voted no but I think it is close and I am intrigued. I looked at whether I could do it carrying another guy my weight piggyback. Im not sure.
