Mid tourney advice requested

Assuming you have been following the SNG basic strategy and have been fortunate to acquire 3 times or so of your starting chip count by level 4 (typically 6 players left). Do you continue to play tight or do you loosen up a bit to see some more flops with good but not great starting hands over the next few levels ?

In my opinion, by level 4 and especially higher levels you should NEVER be limping in. You want to steal blinds, not see flops. If you have a *substantial* chip lead on the bubble you need to be raising preflop any time you have a decent hand and are first to act... Being aggressive here will increase your amount of 1st place finishes.

Well as the number of opponents goes down, good but not great hands start to go up in value. Don't take this overboard though. You also have to consider your opponents. Are they so short that they will be making a move all in? Are they very aggressive? If so, I would tend to stay on the tight side. If they allow you to see the flop then take advantage of it. If they are too tight then steal when you have the right situation.

Go into steal mode with decent hands and keep your eye on your position vs the shorter stacks to aviod doubling them up with an all in raise.
