QQ versus everyone\'s favourite overcard

MP2 is 27/9/2.7 over 160 hands, the other two are your standard loose-and-passives.

Party Poker 1.00/2.00 Hold'em (9 handed) link

Preflop: Hero is MP3 with Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].
3 folds, MP2 raises, Hero 3-bets, 2 folds, SB calls, BB calls, MP2 calls.

Flop: (12.00 SB) A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (4 players)
SB checks, BB checks, MP2 bets, Hero??

If folding here is a mistake, it's a very small one. And it's probably best. If not, raise. Poker sucks.

folds. try searching for KK when an Ace flops. pretty much the same thing.

In this hand, i think there's too many cards that beat you at this point. Why proceed?

Edit: Actually I'd like a little more of a read than just numbers. Is this guy a bluffer? Would he bet this flop with 99 or 10 10? Might make it a little easier to respond with a little more information. I think a 5 is out of the question, but a smaller pocket pair could be likely. I just don't like those diamonds.

I'd raise cause I'm stubborn. I'd fold if I was a good player.

Do you have any other reads?

He's fairly aggressive, so why didn't he cap preflop? Smaller pair? Possible broadway? Or just position?

I might raise for information. I'd probably fold a 3 bet, but I'd like to know where I stand before the turn.

That said, I don't mind folding - it's very read dependent.

Raising for information tells you nothing unless he 3-bets. he might call because his AJo is scared of AKs, and suck out an extra 2BB from you.

Agreed. Which is why it's very read dependent. Generally speaking, folding is here ok, but against an SLAA I might raise here if I thought I held the edge.
