30/60 stars hand

tight 30/60 game going on stars. One raise in MP, the SB calls, i call in BB with 8s6s

flop comes 9s6h2s.

checked around

turn is 2d

SB bets out, i raise, original raiser auto 3-bets. SB folds.

the 3-bettor clearly had the auto-raise box checked off. what is your play?

Well, with no read on opponent, I would call the turn, and check-call river unless a 6 comes, which I might bet-call. I think that the villain's hand range is ak, aq, or even kq spades, most likely a set (now a full house), and just maybe an overpair or some random ace high hand. This is very player dependent though, because the flop-turn play is quite strange in a tight game.

i really really really had to fight myself from capping the turn after the 3 bet...am i crazy? no reads on any opponents. had seen 1 orbit...everyone playing tight to this point

Did you check the flop with the intention of raising? Because I really like to bet and pump it on the flop with a nice draw like that and build a bigger pot.

i had planned on check raising the flop. Once it was check around...i felt more confident my 6 was best when the turn brought a deuce. the auto 3-bet made me think he could be raising anything....and i resisted the urge to cap...but should i have?
