I got a CD in the mail today from Empire Poker. The label said $25 free, no deposit needed. Anybody know any details about this?

Maybe the guy could win a freeroll to seed his bankroll, theoretically. Easier to just fund your bankroll yourself.

So, Empire has made it impossible to play without first funding your account. Interesting. Maybe it's an anti-gnoming strategy, so they can track your identity through the funding process, at least somewhat.

This is probably why they do it, but it does seem a little dishonest. I mean, yes, technically you are getting $25 for free without depositing, but there is absolutely no way to access that money without making a deposit. Not that I care...
