Poker SideBet, how would it effect your play.
I am in a $5-$10 game, but have a sidebet with the player next to me. Here it goes.
I take black, he takes red. If the flop comes up two or more black cards than he gives me 5 bucks, otherwise I give him five bucks. Here is the twist. There is a suckout rule. So if the flop comes up black-black-red, he gives me five bucks, however if we get to the end and two more red-cards come up, he has sucked out and I give him back his original five, plus ten more bucks. Now my questions is this, how should this change my play. In one hand, the flop came up black-red-red, I gave him five bucks. I was heads up with someone and called the turn. My draw did not get there, but the board was now B-R-R-B, the player I am against raises, I clearly dont have the pot odds for my draw, but wait.....If a red card comes I get fifteen bucks on the suckout rule. Now its an easy call. Any other thoughts on how I should adjust my play. Thanks huh? |

I think you should fold if you have 2 black cards in your hand unless you picked up a flush draw.
