You obviously wanna slow play it because you came out swinging the last 4 hands with top pair/middle pair and won without having to show your cards, so the players respect you now.

[/ QUOTE ]

This is all the more reason not to slowplay. I'd never slowplay a flush in a no-limit game.

Your title is misleading; at the point you're considering folding, you no longer have the nuts.

and you raise 3BB from the UTG. SB raises to 5BB, 2 fold and the other player (we'll call him Mike) reraises it to 10BB... you call and so does BB.

How are there 2 folds and a reraise in between the SB's raise and your call?

Why would you not slowplay an Ace-high nut-flush on no-limit???

You'll get paid off by someone thinking "Why would he not slowplay the Ace-high nut-flush on no-limit???".

Actually, if you've just bought 4 pots in a row w/o having to show your cards, the players will have less respect for you, not more. The respect decreases the more pots you buy in a row, not increases.

That said, you may have overplayed your first 4 hands if you greatly overbet the pot and got no action.

You should reraise the turn(not necesarily all in. Mike has a hand he isn't going to likely fold. If possible, this is where you want him to go all in.

The little lead 2BB bet is about worthless. You can accomplish the same thing by just checking.

I'd probably fold. It looks like you're beaten in both places. Unless you know the players would grossly overplay hands, then you'd call.

Fold ... because your play was horrific.

There was your first mistake - no one could possibly respect you, CANUCKS_POCKER, a/k/a CanucksPoker, a/k/a King Striker.

Re: Folding the nuts... would you... ?

First, no idiot would raise 10BB with 5-5, except if you are playing play money or something. Second, don't call a 10BB raise with AJs, looks like a fold to me. Third, why would 5-5 stay in on a flop with 2 overcards there? I don't think simply pushing or folding is the correct move. Correct for you after this situation is to quit poker.

I dunno about you, but I'm not even thinking about 5-5 here. I'm worried about the two hands that are more likely to beat me: K-K and Q-Q.
