Blind structure for 1 table freezeout?

I'm hosting a 1 table freezout tournament. I got the following blind structure from a Howard Lederer book. I do 1500 in chips, 20 minute rounds. It's supposed to last around 3 hours.

Blinds:
25/50
50/100
75/150
100/200
150/300
200/400
300/600
500/1000
1000/2000
1500/3000
2000/4000

Just wondering what others are using and suggest.

www.homepokertourney.com has some good info. check them out. Also, http://www.thetournamentdirector.net/ is a neat peace of free sofwtare if you have a laptop to bring. The guys in our group really like it.

Structure looks ok for 10 people. That's 15,000 chips. At that, it should take slightly less than 3 hours. The site above uses the 10% of chips in play on blinds/antes rule (the tourney usually ends at this level). Ours usually end at that level or before, so that would put yours ending more like 2.5 hours.

Yeah, 2.5 hours is perfect. Funny you should mention tournament director -- I dug an old laptop out of the closet for this purpose and set it up last weekend!

What exactly does freezeout mean?

Is it a time limit on the tourney, and whoever has the most chips when time runs out wins?

THx,

It's a tournament where there's no rebuys or add ons.

Alternate definition -- A tournament played inside a freezer.

Hmm...the tourney style that I play and I didn't even know the correct name.
Thx,

first time I brought it in, I endured a few geek jokes, etc., but now everyone wouldn't play without it. They like being able to see how much time is left at a level, what the next level is, and what the avg. chip stack is.

It adds a real professional touch, plus it records everyone's finish and I use those to post results to our little web page.

Yup, I've seen it at other games. It's great to not have people constantly asking how long is left in the level and what the blinds are...

That would feel pretty good right about now!
