No Limit Hourly Rate

Do no-limit players track their wins by hourly rate or rate per # of hands like limit players like to do? It would seem this is not as relevant a stat for no-limit since one hand can have a huge impact on results for a fairly long period of play. Just wondering. Especially for those that play higher blinds than 2-4.

Well, my thoughts:

1) you'll get more responses to this in either of the NL forums, or possibly in the General forum

2) Saying that this is a silly way to track your performance because you have bigger hand for hand swings is just plain silly. Either you make money, or you lose money. As a player, since you're trying to make money and in theory maximize that rate, calculations such as "win per hour" are incredibly important. Now, it may be that you win more $/hr at 1/2 than you do at 2/4 (in limit or nl, whichever). In NL, yes, your swings are probably bigger on the hand by hand evaluation, but that is irrelivant. When all the swinging is done, either you're ahead or behind. It's the long term that matters, not the individual hand.

Wrong Forum. Asking limit experts about No Limit earn rates is about as silly as standing around with Noted Poker Authority Ed Miller and Mason and talking about No Limit bet-size strategies.

I think Ed frequents the palms NL game and also might be planning on writing a NL book.
