It was a horrible push, even a crappy pattern mapper can see Seat 8 gets dealt JJ or QQ there.

You have an unhorrible hand, are first to act, it's 5 handed, and you have 6.5 BB.

This is really close, although I probably push.

What ranges are you putting people on for this to be -$EV? Folding seems terrible.

If you think they will call with: 44+,A7s+,A9o+,KJs+ it's +0.4% EV to push.

If they will call with: 22+,A2s+,A3o+,KTs+,KJo+,QJs it's -0.1%EV to push.

It's all about ranges. I don't have a clue what they will call with in a 11$

That's much closer to the range, especially since the Hero only has 6.5 BBs. Furthermore, you're only shortstacked relative to the blinds not compared to the other players. I think this is a clear fold.

You are contradicting yourself there. He's shortstacked compared to the blinds(thus they will be looser) but not the other players(thus he can fold).

They won't be that loose as he will take at least half of any caller's stack. They certainly won't all have the same range. The default settings are there to make SNGPT quicker to use, they aren't authoritative and they can't read your opponent's minds.

This seems like an easy fold to me. I'd estimate three-fourths of the calls you get will have you dominated at least 2-1. You'll still have a decent stack even after the blinds go through.

It's ok if 3/4ths of the call you have dominate you, because that means you're not getting called often, which means FE, which is very, very good here.

U need to be worried if you get calls that don't dominate you, from KJ stuff...

It's an $11, people call, you fold.

Re: $11 A9 UTG L6

I think this is fairly close; if blinds are going up next hand I push, if not I lean towards folding. As far as marginal pushes go, up front like this I'd prefer to have a hand like KJs. Stands up better against the tighter calling ranges you expect against an EP push.

KJs? I never considered that a stronger hand to push with. In fact I regularly fold KQ, any King for that matter, and usually only push w/ AT or better, mid pockets or better... from EP...

Why do you like KJs?

Well, run it vs. loose/average/tight calling ranges in SNGPT. Then run A9o against those ranges.

I would agree. And to the OP, you should buy SNGPT. Judging from some of the posts you've made, a lot of the questions you have been asking could be answered by spending a little time with SNGPT and reading up about about equity and ICM. very +++EV
