Still looking for rakeback answer

Apologies in advance, I know the answer to this is somewhere in here, but I can't find it by searching.

When starting out, what is the best strategy for building a bankroll? Bonus-whoring or rakeback? Is there a way to combine the two--can you do both? Is there a certain $ amount you should reach before worrying about one or the other?

I've seen hundreds of posts concerning one or the other at 2+2, but have yet to find a concise, clear explanation of the advantages/disadvantages of each.

I've only opened an account on one site, and as I expand my play I don't want to burn any bridges behind me that might lead to loss of an oppurtunity at some easy money.

Thanks.

Check internet gambling forums.

Bonuses will earn you way more than rakeback, and yes, it is possible to get both.

Thanks, I'll look through there. I've been searching awhile, still haven't found my answer.

aK is right. Get rakeback whenever you can if you're making new accounts, but bonuses, despite often amounting to negative rakeback, are way more profitable.

I think this is where I'm confused. I was under the impression that you couldn't get both--rakeback and a bonus.

you can, but your bonus wil cause your rakeback to be ineffective for a few hundred hands.

You need to get rakeback established the first time you sign up at a specific site. It is possible to sign up for rakeback and get the initial deposit bonus at the same time.

I personally don't see the need for more than one rakeback site as it would be the normal site to play when not clearing bonii.

The question is what site do you want to play on? I think you should play Party and Empire and get the bonuses and forget rakeback for now. It won't be worth the trouble until you play 2/4 at least and you can get rakeback on many of the other skins. As for other sites like Stars or UB I'm less familiar with the rakeback plans available.
