Turn Decision Heads-Up
This is on Pacific so I'll write it out. I'm in MP1 dealt pocket 7's.
Folds to me. I raise. MP3 coldcalls. SB and BB call. Flop: 842r Checks to me. I bet. MP3 folds. SB calls. BB folds. The turn is an ace. Against a loose and passive player I'd bet every time. But against a passive board player, should I check and call a river bet? If he has overcards, he has about 10% to beat me. But if he calls the turn, I'm possibly beaten. |
Re: Turn Decision Heads-Up
Must bet here. He will often incorrectly fold QJ/JT thinking that he's drawing dead and even if he doesn't you can't afford free cards. On the river, typically check/fold. With a read this could sway to a call.

Definitely a bet. The ace is scary, but you can't just freeze up because it hit the board. You've got a good chance of still being ahead.

Re: Turn Decision Heads-Up
Do you really expect a passive player to bet the river with something your 7's beat?
