An example of a play w/ AA in your hand
 

This is an example of a play that has worked very well for me when I have a hand with AA in it. Despite the increased variance it results in, the good results are usually enough to keep me doing it. I'll post the showdown results if anybody is interested in what the other players had. Enjoy!

no need to be rude about it. Welcome to the forum. It's often better to post hands where you make an unusual play or use a player read as then there can be some debate and discussion. As to the hand in comment it's standard and alot of people do it and if the stack sizes are right it works.

At the higher limits/deeper stacked games against opponents you know well you can sometimes limp reraise other hands. The play works if you know your opponents as you can often bluff them out if an ace hits and get paid off when you hit. In certain game types tight predictable play gets the money.

With alot of money left to bet limp reraising AAxx becomes a horrible play as nobody pays you off when you hit and stacks you when you miss. Of course if you then play cautious on dangerous flops you end up getting bluffed out by good players. Good luck at the tables.

Thank you for your kind reply. It is a play I really don't see at the PL .1/.25 blinds on Pokerstars - typically what I do see is when someone has a hand w/ aces in it is they raise the pot as the first raiser, and then they complain when they can't get anybody to fold or when they get outflopped. The other thing is when I do do this it creates a lot of confusion in these players, because most of them are only interested in what they have, and aren't trying that hard to read my hand. In this particular hand, I got the BB to put his entire stack at risk with K-Q-K-8 rainbow, and the other caller had Q-J-9-6 rainbow (imagine: calling 60 big blinds with that!).

The old limp-reraise with AAxx from EP eh?
Fine at the low limits and fine if you can get a large portion of your stack in preflop but not great as you move up limits.
