Wow, that is definitely messed up... They're tags that cap pf and then totally shut down to a Q-high flop. I guess the one who folded the turn must have AK, but I think the other one has a pp lower than a queen that will call your river bet... I don't think opponent folds 12% of the time here, and when he calls, you're splitting at best, and that is very unlikely...

So I think I'd check/fold the river.

Re: Well...

It really seems he can only have one hand here and this is your best shot at getting the whole pot. I guess you could try to checkraise.

There is also the possibility he has TT or JJ and turned into a vag on the flop, but I think guys with these stats bet those hands on the flop.

Yeah, so now that I've talked myself through this I'd say this is what I'd do, bet.

Edit: Sup, what's new I misread the hand. The 3-bet guy is the one still around, now I agree with the check/fold crew.

Me three. I can't see AK winning outright. What a weird hand. Seems like something I'd be mixed up in LOL

The correct play on the river is to check and fold.

If you thought he did have JJ or TT, would you check?

I'm thinking if he called the turn with those two hands, it's because he is in call down mode and taking the hand to showdown.

Yes, he's not folding those hands.

Re: Well...

well if you think hell fold a choping AK...

i seriously doubt hes folding a pair, and someone with his stats wont bet a worse A high when checked to most likely so you really cant call a bet, but i dont really mind this bet because of the few times AK might fold or AJ or something might call, but i think its really close and leaning toward the check/fold side

Re: Well...

I think it's close. I can see the check/fold line on the river here. But it sucks when he bets his AK (which he has probably 1/3 of the time or more) and you have to fold. He certainly has to be a bit concerned about your pf coldcall but I think he would also realize you would value bet TT or better on the river every time. He's not likely to lay down another AK or middle pair. But occasionally. Your bet has no value if called obviously. But it does keep you from getting bluffed out of half of the pot and every now and then wins you the entire pot. So I don't think it's really that bad of a bet. But I'd still probably c/f. I don't think he'll bet AK or lay down AK or better often enough to bet yourself. More likely than anything his turn call means he decided to show his hand down for as little as possible.
