You have balls the size of grapefruit and button is an idiot.

This has got to be a "penny" or play money game. Otherwise I want to know where "Hero" AND "Button" play. Hero should be FOLDING pre-flop, NOT capping it. Hero got lucky hitting a middle pair and a draw on the flop. BUTTON should now be folding.

This was not a penny or play money game, and I'm the hero.

Thanks for the advice.

Re: Interesting Hand

Well, if the Button was a total idiot maniac (as he appears to be) then this line actually makes some small degree of sense as you basically perfectly executed the river re-raise to fold out what was probably the best hand.

However, 63s is not the hand to be making this type of play with pre-flop and out of position as I'm sure you already know. Horrible play. But you get better after that. I like the flop 3-bet to put pressure on the "good" hands. You're basically forced to continue your show of strength on this turn with the giant pot, but that raise has to make you feel sick inside though obviously you can't fold with your draws. Even if you only give yourself 3 clean outs (the non heart 5's) then you still have the 14:1 to call. Once again, if you really had a read on the button being a total maniac then this river play is sweet, but based on the start of the hand it looks a lot like chip spewage. This was the case.

The whole table hadn't changed much in about 3 hours.

Not very interesting, and not very expert IMHO.

You'll lose a signifigant amount of money playing this way over the long-term. Even against maniacs. Even at 6-max.

You managed to force out UTG with a 3-bet when he was getting 12.5-1, and to force out CO with a 3-bet when he was getting 14.25-1. Anybody getting odds this good will call you down the majority of the time. The fact that they folded was a coup, and you got it twice.

Add to this the fact that on the river you are an underdog against two random hands.

Enlighten us to the reads you had on these players that allowed you to play in such a manner?

It's plenty interesting, and my river line was obviously the best possible in this case. If you don't find this type of hand interesting, I'm not sure which poker hands could be of interest to you.

Let me ask you a couple of questions.

Do you think this is how I usually play this hand?
Do you really think my post is a serious one?

Don't be silly.
But I do contend that my plays in this hand aren't that bad after the flop. The pot being big on the river is just more of an incentive for me to play it in the way I did.

Should I bluff more in small pots?

Yawn.

3bet the turn.

Otherwise, nice hand.
