Flopped low end of straight - too aggressive?

$30 SNG/ 1 table : Pacific Poker: down to 5 people

SB had been somewhat aggressive with his chiplead and had been raising my BB almost everytime.

Blinds 25/50

UTG = 1055
CO = 2340
Button = 500
SB = 3952
Hero (BB) 2078

SB posts 25
BB posts 50

Dealt to Hero = 7 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]8 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

Folded to sb who raises to 100
Hero calls
Pot = 200

Flop = J [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 10 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 9 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

SB bets = 248
Hero raises = 646

SB waits full time limit and then folds

Could I have extracted more chips by calling or mini raising? I chose to raise because of the possible flush draw and higher straight draw.

Your thoughts?

Standard.

REALLY draw heavy board. You don't want him to have anything cheap.
