Making the read 3/6 live

Taken from a live 3/6. Table is typically loose passive, a few tight aggs who fold:

You are the LP, question: what do you think the BB has. BB is a tight with moderate aggression. Not a fish, but young, and you have not seen him at this card room before. BB is up slightly since sitting about 90 minutes ago.

MP calls, LP calls, SB folds, BB checks

Flop K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]
BB: bet
MP: call
LP: raise
BB: reraise
MP: fold
LP: call

Turn Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]
BB: check
LP: ??

I fell obliged to reveal the answer.

BB had Q4s. LP (your character) read BB (me) clearly in the reallife example. Gotta find that tell.

I woulda guessed KQo, but Q4 makes sense, too.

Even if you flopped 2 pair with K4, you'd lead the turn on the grounds that LP might be on a flush draw, or else there's a fair chance you'll end up chopping anyway. You probably don't 3-bet the flop with J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] because you don't want to face MP with 2 cold, and even if you did, the Q on the turn would be too tempting not to bluff at.

So, basically, the only hands you're checking here after bet/3-betting the flop are hands that just filled up, and are now hoping that LP is on a flush draw & catches on the river (or bluffs at the Q). And you're almost certainly raising preflop with KK or QQ.
