Visa Gift Card Help
 

I dont want to use credit cards to put money on a poker site, so I usually go to a bank and buy a visa gift card and put money on it, but the problem is most poker sites don't take this. Does anyone know any great online cardroom that will take a visa gift card?

Most online poker players use Neteller accounts for playing online.

I suggest you open one now and never look back.

Just open a secret online bank account to hide it from your wife. Oh and also get Neteller.

Many (if not all) sites use a banking system called AVS to help prevent fraudulent transactions. Basically the credit card processor and your bank communicate and see if the details in your online account match the details (name/address/zip) on your card.

Unfortunately by default many gift cards simply don't have a way of getting round this problem.

I don't know much about Visa gift cards but Party allows you to buy a prepaid phone card and use the "minutes" fund your acct; no I am not kidding. PrepaidSelect is the name of the card.

You can buy it on the deposit page of the cashier or they say you can buy it on your own if you prefer.

If you're reason for not wanting to use CCs online is secrecy this will work out well; it appears on your CC statement as just what it is - a phonecard.

If your reason is fear of fraud you can buy one of these cards at certain retail locations - their people can probably tell you where.

I know for a fact that Party DOES accept those mall gift CC (not sure if they were Visa or MC). I also know that they WILL shut you off if you use too many of them ~5+.
