Table isnt super tight, but it isnt super loose either. Its reasonably aggessive but not too much so.

MP1 limps, MP2 raises, CO cold calls, sb calls, you are in the bb with 65o. MP1 isnt aggro pf or post that much so a LRR isnt likely. You are getting 9:1 assuming mp1 calls. Do you call?

If yes, what about 6-4o? Is it that different than 6-5?

I probably call with both of those. Depends on my image though.

Getting 9-1 I would fold both 65o and 64o, but I would call with both of them if they were suited. The lowest offsuit connectors I would call with out of the BB getting 9-1 would be 98o. The difference between a hand like 65o and 98o ito me is that 98 has just enough high card strength to win the pot with one pair once in a while, with a hand like 65o you are basically always going to have to make two pair or better to win and I dont believe that this hand will make enough big hands to make calling profitable even getting 9-1. I have no hard data to back up my reasoniong, just telling you what I would do and why.

I would rather call with 76o or 65o in this situation than T9o or 98o, just fwiw.

I would call with 65 and fold with 64. The differance is that 65 makes 33% more straights using both holecards and the straight possibility is about the only reason I play this hand.

The proper answer depends on how you play postflop. I assume that 65o should be called by most posters. 64o is a tougher decision. I am unable to give exact reasoning and would love to see someone try to break down their decisions.

I agree with Entity that T9o and 98o will be trouble for a lot of players. They require more postflop skill.

t9 and 89 are more likely dominated and if you hit an oesd you might end up having a dummmy oesd ala the likes of AK f'in you in the ass.

Anyways, my postflop play is fairly lagtarded, but I think I have developed a winning strategy revolving around raising dominated hands preflop, going to war on the turn, and seeing showdown at 40%.

65 call
64 fold
