Stats for check-raises requested

I'm just curious how often some of you guys are check-raising because I'm pretty sure I'm not doing it nearly enough.

Strangely, I think this is effecting my P-tracker stats in an adverse way. I'm actually probably too passive even though my flop-ag is sky-high (I'm always betting out and thus never MISS on a C/R like some of you guys might. This probably keeps many C/R'ers flop-ag down to earth imo).

This is perhaps a danger in the aggression stats imo.

Someone like me who bet-calls more on the flop can have a higher flop-ag I think then someone who goes for more check-raises (because you have to miss on those C/R's every once in awhile).

When I previously tried to correct my flop-ag by being more passive I don't think I was going about it the right way.

It's weird but I think it's true.
My flop-ag is too high...because I need to be C/R'ing more.

Give me a general idea of how often you guys do this.

# of total hands -
# of check-raises -
% of possible actions -
flop % -
turn % -
river % -

Is anyone else interested in this? If not then no problemo. I can hopefully continue to figure out how to do better at this through the various strategy discussions and HH threads.

Re: Stats for check-raises requested

my stats for this week only (but seem to roughly coincide with most of my stats in my other databases so i don't think it's a sample-size issue):

11.5k hands
CR's = 55
% of actions = 0.65
Flop % = 63
Turn % = 32.7
River % = 3.6

thanks for the input. I should definitely be C/R'ing more. I already knew this...but it's helpful to see some stats to get a slightly clearer idea of how much less frequently I am doing this overall compared to other players

Re: Stats for check-raises requested

# of hands: 17k
CR's = 132
% = .88%
Flop = 59%
Turn = 29%
River = 11%

I don't think I'm check-raising near enoough as well.

Edit: Micro, what's your flop Agg? Mine is at 3.83 and I feel like this is way too high, but I really can't figure out why.

Mine is around 3.5 in my various databases.

I brought it down to the 2's for awhile but that was obviously because of more passive play.

I think you and I might have continuation-bet-itis.

My PF numbers are around 25/21. So since my PF is perhaps higher than most I have more cause to try to 'steal' or 'semi-bluff' on continuation on the flop.

It's just ultra-laggishness though.

More random ideas:

you and I seem to have the same problem in that our flop-ag is high partly because our C/R attempts are so low.

If your PF numbers are in the 26/22 range or something then this is why we are always continuation betting on the flop I think (whether we hit top pair, a draw, or just overcards or virtually nothing).

I think it all begins with PF with me.
If I find a few more places where I shouldn't be raising and only just calling along.

I'm also not defending my BB as much as I probably should...which is where a lot of other players calls come from (as well as opportunities to not be always continuation-betting on the flop).

Re: Stats for check-raises requested

Good points, especially about the preflop aspect. I just recently found out my raise out of the SB is at 20%. I think I often raise here and find myself out of position against 2 players, ending up spewing too many chips on continuation bets. Past few sessions I've been looking to cut back on these preflop raises out of position with the mediocre hands.

Re: Stats for check-raises requested

1/2 & 2/4
Note: My blind defense has been terrible for SH, i.e. i'm too tight.

% of possible actions: 1.25%
flop %: 52.44%
turn %: 40.44%
river %: 7.11%
