Party 10-20 NL bluff

folded to button, he makes it 65...I am in the BB, in a NL tournament I usually raise here but I just called with KQcc.

Flop J83 with one club, I check...opponent bets 65 I make it 250. Standard?

yes, this is standard chip spewing. If you want to steal lead and fold to a raise.

I dont mind the call in BB PF. I wouldnt re-raise here, especially with KQ. Even with a better hand, ill often call in BB when i know it will be heads up.

For re-raising, ill do this mostly out of SB with 99 and up, maybe with slick and AQ, but then i'm tighter than most here.

As far as flop, no way i check raise that without a big reason you haven't listed.

His bet looked weak so I tried to take the pot away from him. Also everyone is scared to call raises in this game so he probably folds anything but a J or better. I could definitely be wrong but that was my thinking

what are you representing? a set? just lead the flop

Re: Party 10-20 NL bluff

I didnt want to lead the flop because I was probably gonna check fold. When he bet so weak I figured there was a better than 50 percent chance he would fold to the check-raise so I decided to try to take the bot

if your plan was to check and fold, just check and fold. by the way, didn't he bet half the pot? how is that weak?

Very opponent dependent.
I hate giving up my blinds and KQs is def a hand i defend with.
If he has been doing this a lot(blind stealing) i would reraise pf with KQs.
Given that u just called pf, the flop CR is fine,if he calls...that is when reads become crucial...think he'll dump an overpair? or a decent jack?
