Who would let X amount of people die to have a Y possibility of saving Z people in the future? X > 0

Re: Bringing Sklansky\'s \"a few simple questions\" to the real world

Does X include myself?
How low or great is Y's possibility?
Who are these Z people which I am saving?

Disregarding all that important stuff:

X = 1
Y = 100%
Z = 1.01

Likewise
X = 50
Y = 50%
z = 100.01

The equations dont match up, but I think you see what I mean :P
