villain was competent and capable of making both plays and folds, like any reasonable player. probably too loose preflop.

Did you have a read? It's really hard for me to conceive of his turn c/r as a bluff or non club hand because wouldn't he just bet the flop/turn with either of those? I think you have just walked, nay dove into his trap on this one.

stupid pokerhand converter is being retarded.

it just seemed like a good spot. no way he c/r the nut flush on that turn.

anyways im just figuring out better spots for bluffing etc...whenever i think there's no way they play the hand they're representing the way they did, i try to call them out on it.

imo that play is kind of strange since if you had a high club you would bet the flop. I would probably call down with a weak club because of that.

Why not? What else could he have and why wouldn't he just bet it?

The trouble with trying to out aggro these guys is that they care more about their machismo than their money and if you make into a pissing match they tend to always need the last word. This is my experience.

of course not.

i like the play ok, only because MP is really really likely to have no club.

i mean, anyone who is not a complete idiot knows hero is full of it here, but whats he gonna do about it? normal ppl dont often go off for 4BB+ on a pure bluff.

so i'm guessing you thought he cr'ed because he expects that you would have bet a strong club on the flop?

i like these plays every once in a while, especially in a game like this where the player pool is not large. even it doesn't work it's very good for image purposes
