It's no older than a year and a half. They didn't make a cabriolet until 2004 model year.

Also, according to KBB, a standard 2k4 s4 cabriolet is worth 50k.

yeah, i'm just wondering if he drove his into the ground and has somehow come up with a 40k limit as a result of it (wife-imposed "you can only trade, not pay" limit or something)

Yeah, there is a bounty on my head by certain people in my town. If they get a picture of me driving my wife's VW convertible they get $50 from one dude. Nice car. For my wife. If I drove it except in emergencies I might be gay.
