What do you do with TT

Live $100-200 NL
Blinds are $3/5
7 handed

Table is a good mix of tight and loose players.

Everyone has $200

You are in the big blind with TT.

Preflop: Tight UTG raises to $15, MP1 folds, loose MP2 calls, CO folds, loose Button calls, loose SB calls

your being asked to put $10 into a pot of $65. You will hit your set 1/8 times so your not gettin proper odds. any tight player who raises 5xbb utg means alot to me. your beat already by him and i think this is a fold. wait for a better chance

65:10 is pot odds. With two other loose players calling, your implied odds are substantially better than 7.5:1. Easy call to play for the set.

It's the implied odds that matter more than the pot odds. I think calling $10 is just fine, especially against a tight preflop raiser who probably has a big pair or AK. If you hit the set, with these very small stack sizes relative to the blinds and pot size, you'll probably stack him, and maybe one or two of the others who are unlucky enough to pick up a draw or two pair.

Using the 5-10 rule, this is an easy call.

There is no way you can fold here. The biggest thing here is the blinds compared to stacks. You have 200, and you say everybody is also at 200, with $3-$5 you have to loosen up your play because the high blinds dictate that. You also have good implied odds if you hit your set. If he does have a big pair overpair and the flop comes 10 high you'll double up. He may also have AK or AQ in which case you are ahead.

Where is this anyway that the blinds are so high compared to the starting stacks? I've never seen a NL game with a $5 BB where max buy in was $200, I've never seen a max buy-in in a $5 BB game for less than 500. This type really encourages loose fast play, because the chances are your opponents will not adjust.

Where else in the casino can you get like 40:1 on your money on a 7.5:1 shot? Call.

Extraordinarily easy call.
So way you fold as you implied odds bring you WAY over the 7.5-1 ish needed.
