Folding Aces
Good laydowns?
Hand 1: Villian is 80/15/0.80 --- only time I have seen him raise is with flush draws or a set. I would have called a non-club river, but I think the best I could hope for on this is a lower set without a club. Also, should I raise the turn? #1 - Raise the turn.
#2 - see #1. edit - woops... didn't see the stats in hand no. 2. Edit 2 - big pot, though. Hold your nose and call down. Oh and raise the turn. edit 3 - missed the flop c/r.... good fold. |
Re: Folding Aces
#1 raise the turn, river the K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] next time
#2 nice fold. if he doesn't have a set i'll be damned. |
Re: Folding Aces
Damn, I'm missing stuff today... didn't see the flop c/r by UTG. Yeah, he's got trips or better. Good fold. I'm going back to sleep now.

Re: Folding Aces
People reeeeeeally need to consistently post how many hands the PT stats are based on.
Hand 1 - You'll lose a lot of money at 6-max playing this weakly. You MUST raise the turn. Villain is simply betting out every street, which could mean a flush, a straight flush, a very sorry way of playing pocket kings, or nothing more than the A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. I'd also call the river, but I expect to lose when I do. Hand 2 - After the turn bet (flop c/r could mean a number of things, some of which I'm ahead of), I'm not liking my hand here, but it's still a tough, tough laydown, especially after the king pairs, which could actually be good for me, and in a big pot. Whether I fold depends on what villain usually raises preflop, and also what he usually limps. |
Re: Folding Aces
There is a player behind you in hand 1 that flat called on the turn. I would certainly say you are beat 95+% here.
Hand 2 is a goot fold also. |
Re: Folding Aces
I had over 80 hands on both opponents.
Typically, I don't play as weak as I did in hand 1 (my aggression factors are 3.85/3.69/2.18 over my last 40k 6 max hands). I hadn't seen him raise once without a set or flush draw. He might have played 2 pair the same way. Thanks for the help. |
Re: Folding Aces
Both good folds, but like everyone said, you absolutely need to pop the turn in hand #1. He could be donking KxQc or something like that SO often. And if you're beat, you got the sweet-ass-sweet redraw.
