10/20 55
This was only my third hand at the table and this villain is not known. But from the first two hands at the table he seemed aggressive.

Bets.

Re: 10/20 55
I'd bet. The only better hand I can see him playing this way is maybe 66. You'll get calls from 44, 2's, and maybe even A-hi's.

Re: 10/20 55
i'll assume you bet and accidently deleted that part...
so i guessed he c/red. hmm. i put him on queen high so i'd 3bet. since this game is almost 6max he could be goin wild like a [censored] lagtard [censored] with a wide range of holdings... sry if u lost but u gotta pay the piper. |
Re: 10/20 55
I think you have the best hand. If you don't, you have the best hand most of the time in this spot. He might not call you with A-high, so it's not like there's a ton of value in a river bet, but one plus is that when he folds he doesn't get to see your hand and he doesn't know you'll value bet 55 in situations like this.
Problem is, he could also have a hand like 66 or 88 and puts you on a 7. If so, checking behind obviously saves a bet. I sound like Nick C today, but I'm thinking a bet has more benefits than a check. Easy fold to an unlikely checkraise. |
Re: 10/20 55
bet/fold. you win.
|
Re: 10/20 55
A high and 44 will call. a bunch of other junk will raise. if you can't fold to the raise, then check.
|
Re: 10/20 55
I hate hands like this. It seems like I'm shown 66, 88, or 99 so often in spots like these.

if you can't fold to the raise, then check. [/ QUOTE ] I don't see us getting raised here very often, nor do I see calling that raise as such a big mistake that it makes betting in the first place unprofitable. |
Re: 10/20 55
Bet and fold to a c/r. A2 will pay you off.

Re: 10/20 55
Do you 10/20 players really frequently get paid off by ATo and A [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 4 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] in spots like this?
I think betting the river is fine, but I'm wondering if there's some exaggeration in this thread of how often we're actually getting called when we're best. But I've never played 10/20, and I don't know. |
Re: 10/20 55
im gonna be the first to say check this river. probable hands seem like AT, A9, 88, 66, and 44 and you only beat 2 of them. if you were in his shoes with AT, 88, 66, and 44, I would probably play them the same as he did. maybe river donk AT but it would suck to bet/fold. no one else thinks a check is ok?

Re: 10/20 55
I'm on the fence about this one and was listening to others chime in. If the game was very aggressive then I think it's an easy bet and you'll get called by a-high enough to matter. But in this situation I think I would have checked behind.

Bet and fold to a c/r. A2 will pay you off. [/ QUOTE ] Villain being an unknown I can't see folding this to a c/r. I'd check behind and see what he's playing this way with. b |
