I second that. They're great players of course, but their books are pure beginners' guides.

I have read about half of little green book, I think it's a good read for tournaments. The only other book I have read is TPFAP, and it's not that great of a book. It's outdated for today's tournaments, and isn't centered on Hold Em (and really has very little on NL.)

I guess this thread is a good place for a little hijack. I have 2000+ FPPS at stars at the moment and instead of wasting them on satelites I was planning to invest in a book. What should I get:

Theory Of Poker
Tournament Poker (Tom McEvoy)
Getting Started in Hold'em (Ed Miller)
Tournament Poker for Advanced Players

I'm playing 100% STT and MTT at the moment but might consider trying out some cash games in the future. Have heard good things about the Miller book, but unsure how much it has about NL.
