Interesting fact about Party shootouts and round 2+ reseeding

Anyone notice something about this screenshot?

In addition to being soft as hell, they favor the big stacks in subsequent rounds a lot more than they should.

They are super soft. I've noticed that quite often a player will get a big stack and virtually quit playing. Of course it's alot easier for me to pillage the blinds without an aggressive big stack to worry about.

I noticed that the biggest stacks have the smallest stacks at their table...kinda like seeding in sports playoffs...

Do you find these things worth the time invested?

I haven't played any, but have heard (here) that they take a long time considering the payouts....any thoughts?

I've never played one of these and am curious about whether they are worth it as well. There's a $109 that begins in a few hours. I see that you (Adanthar) are playing them so I suppose we can take from that somewhat of an endorsement as to their profitability. And am I correct in seeing that all you need to get your entry back (plus a little more) is to finish in the top 3 on your table in the first round? Seems like a pretty flat payout.

Played a grand total of 2 so far, a 109 and that 22...bubbled at the final table of the 109 on a bad push, out in the third round of this one.

I'm mostly playing them to see if they are a good bankroll builder for a friend who needs it, and that seems like a very good bet.

I cannot see a good ROI coming from these. The first round plays basically like a SnG. But when you get first, you only get 2x buyins. The payout structure is too flat, I think it's a waste of time.

I've played a few lately and while they are quite soft (its easy enough to get to round 2) I don't think they're worth the time. I made it into round 4 in my last attempt where it breaks down into a MTT with around 50 people or so and finished 6th which was one away from the big money. Payout structure is too flat and only the top 5 players make a significant amount.
