The Fundamental Theory of Running Bad

States that you are truly running bad when you lose 5 hands and realize that you would have lost just as much money if your opponents cards had been face up during the hands.

Re: The Fundamental Theory of Running Bad

How does the result of 5 hands tell you anything about the 1,000's of hands before it and the 1,000s of hands to come?

Running bad and running well are a "rear-view mirror" thing, you only know what has happened, not what is going to happen.

lol, Well I think this is intended as a sarcastic post.

And I do approve!!

For what its worth, you should be happy knowing you played as well as if you saw your opponents cards! =) I know a lot of times I will play well and lose . . . but I'm very pleased with myself knowing I made the best play . . . and other times I make a bad play (clicking the wrong button online or mis-calculating odds or whatever), and go on to win the hand with a lucky river card. This sort of victory is very unsatisfying to me since i am still frustrated I made a bad play. I would much rather lose with confidence, than win with luck. =)

I knew I was running bad and not necessarily playing badly when I saw I was losing money over the last 5k hands with the aggregate totals of TT-AA and AK. I play short handed limit, so running that bad almost takes some effort.

I think this is very, very wrong.
