6/12 limit holdem
i have a little over 200 in chips
i am mp with KsKc

i raise, button calls(no reads new player), both blinds fold

flop Kh 4d 7h

i bet button calls

turn 2s

i bet button calls

river 4h

board reads k4724

i bet button raises, i raise, button raises

this continues untill i decide to call on the 7th bet($84)afraid of 44. the guy had another 150 or so in front of him should i have continued to raise? at what point do i stop with the second nuts?

Re: when do i stop?

I stop raising when I have no chips left in front of me. At that point I try to make a side bet with people at the table with money from my pocket. If you're paraniod at all about someone having quads when you have a full house that inlcudes a big pocket pair then you'll never make as much as you should at this game. You should've kept raising him down to the felt.

Good luck,
Matt

No, I don't think so. The only time I have been 5 bet from someone or higher is with the nuts. I would have only continued in your case if I felt he was incompetent and didn't know what he was doing.

I think you made the correct play.
There is no way to know your opponent is that out of touch.

I would have put him on the flush and kept raising. If he had 44 don't you think he would have raised the flop?

i thought he was prolly on the flush for the first 3 raises then another full house the next 3. i guess i just gave him to much credit.

Re: when do i stop?

Seeing how the hand played out I would continue to raise until I was all in. Seems too weird a line for 44. Also the amount of times I've seen low limit players raise and reraise with flushes on paired boards, etc. YHIG way too often not to get all in here.

Re: when do i stop?

It is read dependant... but at low limits I'd probably have gone about 12 bets here; more if the guy is a raising donk and less if he is a tighter player.

Um, no. This is a live 6/12 game. In a typical game like this, most people would never consider raising the flop with a set.
