Who\'s the next Detroit/Michigan coach to get fired?

All 4 of Detroit's major sports team's coaches have been fired this year (Mooch, Trammell, D. Lewis and L. Brown). I guess that leaves John L, Lloyd or Tommy Amaker as the next most likely candidates to get the boot (excluding Jauron since he's a dead man walking). Who's next? I vote for Lloyd, but MSU might take out John L to take a shot at Mooch.

Lloyd isn't going to be fired ever. Accept it. See Joe Paterno.

Amaker is a good coach, he just is fighting an uphill battle at UM. They could justify firing him, but all it would do is set the rebuilding process back 3-5 more years. UM is much better with him there than Ellerbe.

John L Smith at least wins some of the games he's supposed to, and usually one or two he isn't expected to win, so his job is probably safe. Think about it, 7-4 is great for MSU!!

So the answer is probably Amaker, but none of them are going anywhere anytime soon.

I vote for whoever is hired as the new coach of the Lions.

I guess Tom Izzo is out of the question? tehehehe I jest i jest.

If I had to choose one, John L is outta there. Previous coaches have had similar "success" and have given the boot.

I'm not a Big 10 fan, but I think Michigan's championship in '97 may have been the best thing to happen to OSU and PSU. In terms of talent, Michigan is the most balanced team in the country east of California almost every year - good skill players, good OL, good defense. Carr seems like a good recruiter but a bad football coach and he's probably getting fired never.

let him get a record against tOSU/Tressel like John Cooper in the 90s, and I bet you're wrong.

In other words, at least give him 7-8 more years to try and beat OSU.

i think if he has 3 more non-BCS seasons, 0-3 vs tOSU, he gone.

After 2 consecutive trips to the Rose Bowl, you're already asking for his head?
