Troy Glaus to the Jays?

It's looking very likely that Glaus will be traded to the Blue Jays for Orlando Hudson and Miguel Batista. Personally I think the jays are making a great trade, Batista is deadweight and Hudson is a great fielder but a mediocre hitter. Any time you can give that up for a 35 home run guy looks like a great trade.

well, you can';t just ignore the money of the deal. we'll have to see what happens with that to get the full details.

Are the Jays the most improved team of the offseason?

With Glaus it now becomes quite apparent that the Jays will need to get rid of one or two of Koskie, Hillenbrand, and Hinkse. Frankly I would consider trading Hinske and Koskie for nothing just to get rid of their salaries, well see what JP does.

Yes, I hope JP trades Hinske and Koskie for some kind of solid of infielder I guess... (second basement or shortstop obv). I seriously dont like hinske and koskie, but I think the jays are more willing to trade hinske.. oh well, we shall see!

Isn't the Jays whole new approach that they can just ignore the money?

It's the Jays or the Mets, I can't be objective though. I think the Jays still have one more trade to come, probably for a corner outfielder.

The last thing the Jays need is another infielder. Right now they have Koskie, Glaus, Adams, Hill, Overbay, Hillenbrand & Hinske. They want/need an outfielder with power.

As it stands now, their infield is Koskie, Adams, Hill & Overbay, with Glaus DH. They'd probably like to keep Koskie & Hillenbrand, maybe one of their corner guys can move to left?

It's strange, but they seem to have too much talent, or at least too much talent of equal value, that no one (except Hinske) is clearly out of the picture.
