I play bad 2/5NL (probably low content)

ugh

Pf:
UTG super-LAG (2K) straddles to 10. this means it will be $100 to go 70% of the time if unraised to him. 3 callers (~200ish each) to me (350) on button with A6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], SB calls, BB calls, He makes it 100, folded to me, i push.

if that 70% figure is accurate then this cant be bad

but surely you cant know that number there are better spots for your money.

I don't like the play.
You have little folding equity with your baby stack against the other two non lag opponents.

This is just a big gamble.

I would have reloaded, & waited for a better spot to go after the LAGs money.

I'd be overjoyed if people went ahead and called me with no cards.

I love it. Seriously. If there is a super LAG that is live straddeling with a monster stack, I'm going to do everything in my power to build a stack and take him down. As long you have the bankroll to absorb losing a few buy-ins, I see no reason not to gamble here.

This is assuming the 70% figure is not a gross exageration, and that there is a very reasonable chance you are ahead preflop.

Every 10 hands you are in the position to do this, why not pick a better spot? Obviously the situation has happened enough times already where you can pin a ~70% figure on everyone limping and him raising that it cant hurt to wait a few more times. I bet you were thinking about making that play for an hour or so and got antsy - hope it worked out getting all that dead money.

I think it is played well... although you probably don't have much fold equity, if he really is doing this as much as you say then you'll be ahead enough to make it a perfect play.

Do you also fold your flush draws and straight draws and just wait until you've flopped the nuts to put your money in? I mean, your EV is obviously a lot better in hands where you've got a better hand.

how many times has he straddled then raised to 100? have you been with him for awhile? if you can trust your read, then with or without the fold equity this seems like a nice play. high variance but +EV none-the-less.

So youre advocating pushing in a situation where a call is, at best a coinflip? The villian is a LAG, but im doubting a moron, there is probably something flopworthy in his hand each time he raises to 100.

You missed my point totally. Hero has seen this situation enough times already at this table, whats the harm in letting this opportunity pass for a better one in the future? The lag isnt going anywhere or going to stop doing that
