The Russians are coming

Am I the only one that has noticed a huge increase in the number of Russian players on Party Poker in the last few weeks?

What's your sample size?

Do you regularly check the locations of players?

My sample size is 183,483. What's my sample size? Jackass. I know it could be a fluke, which is why I posted a, uh..question on the forum.

Anyway, I do check the locations of players quite frequently. I started noticing quite a few players with Russian-appearing names in the last few weeks, which is something I've never noticed before (3 years of play on Party), and, sure enough, they're from Russia.

no, i haven't noticed. however, i welcome them. if there is anything that rocky 4 showed us, its that russians are inferior.

Are they good players? Bad? Or just different sorts like everybody else?

Well, not that this means much, of course, but since I first started noticing them, I've seen more than their fair share at final tables of big multis. And I don't think I've noticed one that I would count as a fish--they've all seemed pretty damn solid.
