Would you trade McNabb for T. or J. Jones...?
 

8-team league...

My QB's - Carson Palmer, Donovan McNabb
RB's - Shaun Alexander, Westbrook, Mike Anderson, Fred Taylor

My thinking is...obviously, McNabb's stock is hurt by no T.O. -- plus I have Palmer, who's been the most consistent fantasy QB in the league. I have Alexander who's an every-week starter...but after that (Westbrook, Anderson, Taylor) I have three guys that are every-week MAYBES.

My possible trade partner needs serious help at QB, but he's got Edge, LJ, Thomas Jones, and Julius Jones...he's looking to unload one of the Joneses in exchange for a QB.

First, would you trade McNabb under these circumstances for EITHER of the Joneses? If so, which one? They're both coming off injuries, but were both effective earlier in the season. Julius is back sooner, but Thomas was more effective earlier.

I don't see either Jones as much improvement over your current running back stock. I would not take it unless I could upgrade to LJ or Edge in a package deal.

If you have to pick from the two Joneses, pick Julius. He's back from injury and is starting this week. I'm not completely sure, but I think Thomas Jones is not playing this week and Ced Benson is starting.

What about offering him Westbrook and McNabb for Edge? Or McNabb and Fred Taylor for Larry Johnson?

Would not trade McNabb for either of the players in question. They don't represent any upgrade in what you have already.

I think this is an easy trade. Wait for 2 more eagles loses until he gets his season ending surgery!
